What I like about Abby

Abby and I went to Story Time then to the park today. She's becoming very independent and I love that! During story time, I barely even saw her. As soon as it started, she ran up to the front of the room and sat down during the stories and danced her heart out during the songs. When it came time for the kids to get stamps on their hands, she came and sat by me until most of the other kids had their turns. Then at the park, she went out of her way to make a couple of friends. She usually does this but doesn't always get very positive responses. These two girls she met were very friendly and more than willing to be Abby's friend. They played on the slides, taking turns and when they had to go home, Abby came to me and said, "Mommy, I want to go home too." I guess she didn't have the heart to carry on by herself. I'm so glad she's so sociable, because I am sooo not. I've been shy my whole life and I'm glad that so far, Abby's not.
