Abby's princess obsession has gotten scary. When I picked her up from nursery after church yesterday, I was handed her picture that she had colored with her "name" in the upper right hand corner. So when I looked at it, I was surprised to see "Sleeping Beauty" written where "Abby" should have been. Apparently, Abby had insisted that her teachers call her Sleeping Beauty the whole time. I should have known she would do that. For the past several days, whenever I referred to my sweet toddler as "Abby" she would yell out, "No! I'm Sleeping Beauty, remember??" I guess I should be feeling lucky that a princess has honored us with her presence. Oh, and I'm Jasmine now, by the way. Just ask Sleeping Beauty.

There must be something wrong with your parenting. A little girl in my Sunbeams class yesterday insisted that I call her "Helaman." Now, that is way more church appropriate.

Ya know, I never could relate to the whole princess craze, mainly b/c I was never into myself as a kid. So I always hoped Caitlin (and now Sophie) wouldn't get too into it. Hasn't happened yet. Zach helps to keep things balanced but I think Sophie will probably tip the scales eventually.

Hey! I'm on here too... sort of. I've only put up one post but I just saw yours for the first time, and plan to be one of your followers. Also, it's starting to freak me out how similar our daughters are. Seriously, Emma has about 4 princess dresses and refuses to go potty until we get a "Princess Potty". She thinks she's getting one for her birthday, but I still haven't found one.
Have you done the Disney princess website yet? It's hilareous. The "game" for each princess is based on a story- each one has some big event coming up, (no, nothing like meeting with heads of state or a national food drive- it's either a parade, or a birthday, or a tea party for the whole kingdom!) and the dilemma you have to solve for her is what to wear.
Each character.
Different game possibility.
Same game.
Dress up.
Giggle giggle sigh.
Your hair is just as blond as Abby's and you are Jasmine...? Maybe it's your spunk. ;)
